If you time it correctly, you can run under the laser, pick up the scroll, and run back before it hits you. On the top left is a horizontal laser moving up and down. Scroll 2: After you go directly across the bottom of the elevator shaft, you'll enter a room with a few lasers.It takes you to a challenge room for your first scroll in this level. Scroll 1: Toward the beginning, when you enter a room with 3 motion sensors that you can crawl above and then turn off with a switch, there is a vent on the far right side of the room at the bottom.In the middle is a grapple point directly below the grapple point is a vent that leads to the last scroll. Past the dumpster and guards, head all the way to the right and into a small vent. Scroll 2:After you meet the first shield guy, head down, then right.You keep the scroll but not the points from it. Your other option is slightly cheap but very effective: run over, pick up the scroll, and when the alarm goes off, reset your checkpoint. It can be done without setting off the alarm. Time it: open the door as soon as it's safe, RUN, pick up the scroll, RUN, close the door. You'll have another lockpick at the last door, and the scroll is on the other side of that door. ![]() Once you've picked that lock, go left and proceed up the staircase, making a right one level up. Be forewarned: it can be a pain in the ass. It looks like a floor - it is - but you can jump through it and land behind him, then jump up and grapple over his head. However, the 1,000 points you receive for the scroll resets along with the checkpoint if you go back to a point before you collected it - you will have to re-obtain the scroll for the 1,000 points, but not for the achievement.Ĭollecting scrolls also spans playthroughs if you start your New Game + run, scrolls you collected in your normal playthrough will show up as having been collected. Whenever you retrieve a scroll, you can immediately quit out of the level, or die, or restart the checkpoint, and the scroll will permanently show up as having been retrieved for the purposes of this achievement. You can pick them in entirely separate runs of the same level, or backtrack to find one you missed, or whatever. You do not have to pick them up in order.
